Details Matter

We would only put our brand mark on a watch that could live up to our high standards. We pushed the team at Timex to their limits (and beyond at times) to make sure that this product had the features that we really wanted to have in a watch that carried our name. For starters, the case is in 6AL4V titanium; this is the first time that Timex has used Ti in almost two decades. We also wanted serious water resistance, so we pushed hard for 200 meters. With an automatic movement, LumiNova markers, a screw-down crown, and a new #tide upcycled ocean material band, this watch has all of the good stuff that we knew our customers would demand. Our design team worked hand-in-hand with the team at Timex to make sure that all of the details came off flawlessly.

EVERY DETAIL CONSIDERED

Coordinated Daily Carry

Connecting the Wrist with the Pocket.

While we remain focused on the tools that you keep in your pockets, we have often desired to connect those objects to the wrist; to really work on connecting what was on your wrist with the other things that you carry in your pockets. The fact of the matter is that you need less in your pockets now than you might have a few years ago. This only makes the decisions about what things you do carry with you even more important. They have to pass the test of utility, beauty and ease of carry. They have to be indispensable, across the board. The James Brand is at our best when we are helping others build out kits that they depend on day in and day out. That’s what this collaboration is really about.

Choosing Better Materials

Founded by a team of innovative entrepreneurs from the Swiss watch and accessories industry, #tide offers a solution to the plastic pollution of the world's oceans by upcycling ocean-bound plastic waste and transforming it into a premium raw material. We’re proud to have used #tide material for the strap on this collaboration.

    Love this watch

I haven’t worn a watch since 2007. Love this…. Nice to get back to normal and have another reason NOT to take out my phone. The date could be a little bigger… even the whole watch but I have large wrists and perhaps my eyes are going. So you know

    Great watch and fast delivery

I love the color of the watch and the simple design. The strap is very high quality. The packaging made the unboxing experience even better. A great addition to any watch collection.

A perfect example of the James Brand design philosophy

Very impressed with the quality of this watch- design is clean! Watch strap leaves a little to be desired, but nothing a NATO couldn’t fix!

    .... and keeps on ticking

The James/Timex collaboration has produced a fine field watch. The matte titanium finish, white face and gray band produce a look that is understated and classy. It is at home on the trail and in the office. The pop of color on the crown is not subtle but minimalist in amount. I really like analog watches and the hands on the Times are slim but easily visible against the white watch face. The 41mm size is med.-large but not gaudy. The sapphire bezels on the front and back are attractive and keep the overall thickness of the watch proportionate to the overall size of the watch. The band seems very simple at first, but is really very functional and well executed. The posts are "quick release" making them easy to remove for cleaning or replacement, and the band seems to be very tough and the end finished nicely with a rubber type cement sealing the cut/shaped end.

I only have two minor complaints of the watch. 1. The luminosity of the hands is really not very bright and begin to dim and illegible after a few minutes in the dark. 2. The band is a bit long for my wrist ( I use the 2nd hole) and I would like to trim the extra fabric from the band, but worry that it might fray. I'll keep thinking about that.

I love the watch. Definitely functional, minimalist and classy and fits my style. I'm glad that I could snag one of these. I expect it to take a licking for a very long time!
