Not your Grandfather’s pocket knife.
The pocket knife reimagined.
The Pike started with a simple brief: create a modern take on your grandfather's knife with a simple, clean interpretation of the classic non-locking slip-joint. We paired inviting, warm materials with a clean, modern form meant for those who wanted to carry a knife in their pocket, not on their hip. The result was a slim, minimal design that's destined to become a modern heirloom.
All day, every day.
We make knives and tools for people who live adventurously - for people like us. For those who aren’t content consuming other people’s stories, and who don’t wait around for other people to fix things. We're with you, from the pocket to the hand, and back again.

EVERY DETAIL CONSIDERED
Designed to be an Icon.
We started designing the Pike after listening to your feedback on the County. The County was our second knife ever, and it shared the same initial brief as the Pike: to create a modern interpretation of the small, in-pocket slip joint like your grandfather might have in his pocket. We started by turning the form on its head, and instead of using the horizontal lines of the two bolsters as key design details, we created a long horizontal line that became the defining element of the design.
Since that time we've seen many others borrow liberally from that idea. We've maintained that key element in the Pike, but we've softened the form to make it more at home in the pocket. We've also added a Wharncliffe blade shape, which is a first for us. This gives the knife a minimal, refined feel, and maximizes the length of the blade with regard to the overall length of the knife.

Fine knife if sides didn’t look used.

Love this little guy… awesome little EDC. Small but sharp and mighty. Love the lanyard, nice touch.

I absolutely love this knife! The details and simplicity of the Pike knife are remarkable. It's the perfect size for EDC that won't intimidate anyone when you bust it out. It has some weight to it for a little thing, but that's because it's solidly built. Close up, the mircata is gorgeous. It kinda looks like snakeskin. The blade doesn't pop out with the flick of the thumb as some slick knives do. It's a solid close and shut ordeal. It takes a little more time, like the extra time they took to create a better knife. Could they have gone with a better grade of steel? Maybe, but no complaints here. For an EDC, I think they chose quality steel that serves the purpose of a smaller knife. Worth every penny!
- CChrisVerified ReviewerI do not recommend this productRated 3 out of 5 stars1 year agoGreat quality but disappointed in how it looks closed
Overall it is great quality as usual. What I don’t like is the way it looks close. I just noticed there is not one picture on the jamesbrand website of it fully closed. The opposite end from the point looks out of place as it stickup from the body about 1/8 of an inch. It also has a hard edge that is uncomfortable when your hand runs over it. This is such an obvious issue I’m honestly shocked TJB didn’t change it, made they didn’t like it either that’s why there are not pictures to be found of it. Still a quality knife but they should change this and make a pike2.

This is truly a quality piece. Trust me; you'll know it's worth it the moment you open the packaging and handle the knife. Excellent feel and solid finish.
