The daily fixed blade.

When we approached Schoph about this collaboration he was clear about what he wanted to work on: The Hell Gap. A fixed blade knife is a staple for him, and he wanted to make version that he would use on the daily. This version of the Hell Gap features distressed brass scales which give it some mass in hand; it's the first time that we've used brass in this way. We also created a full-grain leather sheath specifically for the collab that features Schoph's artwork and that can be attached to a belt. The TJB _ Schoph Hell Gap is a limited-edition of 50 units

    Beautiful Knife and Sheath

I had been eyeing The Hell Gap for a while, however based on other reviews, the sheath both looked and felt like an afterthought to the design of the knife. This collaboration with Schoph added a solid leather sheath, which solidified my choice to purchase it. I agree with another reviewer that the handle weight is a little heavy, but otherwise it is a solid knife. The serrations on the back provide a good contact point for your thumb when you need to add a little extra pressure, with no concern for slipping. All in all a good sized knife that will work well at camp.

    A great looking knife

I accidentally order this instead of the regular Hell Gap. I wasn't aware of Schoph and really liked his stuff once I looked into it. That said, the snake is not my style and that's on me for being hasty and oblivious when checking out online. The brass handle is an excellent touch, for me it throws the weight off slightly but feels amazing in hand. It's almost too nice of a knife to use, I'm sure I'll get over that in time.

I do have a tanto as well as a drop point Chapter, so who knows, maybe I'll get the Micarta Hell Gap I meant to buy eventually too.

    They are great knives!
