Sometimes everyday carry means more than what you can put in your pockets.
Introducing the Hell Gap; our first fixed blade knife. Named after the Hell Gap arrowhead found in Platte County, Wyoming, the Hell Gap is a rugged workhorse, like the land of its namesake. Built around an s35vn steel blade and canvas Micarta scales, it’s a cutting polymath; built to be capable of doing work ranging from digging roots in the backyard to dicing onions for your camp breakfast burrito.
All day, every day.
We make knives and tools for people who live adventurously - for people like us. For those who aren’t content consuming other people’s stories, and who don’t wait around for other people to fix things. We're with you, from the pocket to the hand, and back again.
The TJB ATV.
The Hell Gap is a cutting polymath, capable of doing work ranging from digging roots in the backyard to dicing onions for your breakfast burrito at the campsite. It's the knife that you’ll keep in the glove box of the truck, the back of the van, in the boat or the camping box. It will quickly become your go-to blade for your outside adventures.
Every detail considered
Designed and Made Better.
With a full-bellied Crucible s35vn blade for great blend of edge retention, corrosion resistance and ease of sharpening, the Hell Gap is going to become your go-to adventure knife for years to come. The canvas micarta scales provide great grip and hand feel in all conditions. Designed to be precise enough to do fine work like carving, but with enough finger clearance for chopping or dicing, the Hell Gap is the TJB ATV; go anywhere, do anything.

- JPJoshua P.Verified BuyerI recommend this productRated 3 stars2 years agoNot worth the money with the useless sheath
It's a nice looking knife, really nice looking
Feels good in my hand
Nice ribbed section for your thumb to press on
Hole in the handle for a lanyard if you're into that sorta thing
The sheath sucks, it's just a 2 pieces of kydex sandwiched together with uneven rivets so you can't attach any sort of clip to it. Now after spending $275 on the knife I have to pay someone else to make a decent sheath so I can actually carry the knife.
I preordered a black on black version and waited months for mine to show up late while I saw the silver versions show up on the website and sell out. The only difference between mine and the silver ones is cerakote, they should've fulfilled the preorders before releasing them for general sale. Now I know not to bother preordering from them again.

Bigger than I expected. Wanted to use it for a skinning knife but more of a kitchen knife. Dimensions are online so that is one is on me. Wish the sheath had a method of attaching it to something,
- JHJohn H.Verified BuyerI recommend this productRated 5 stars7 months agoGreat knife, cheap scabbard!
The knife itself is sublime but the scabbard is a plastic piece of garbage and not up to the usual high standards of the James Brand. At this price point, a better scabbard should be included gratis, so as not to detract from enjoyment of such a great camp knife.
