The Burwell is our second click pen, following the launch of our Benton, back in 2016. Featuring a stainless steel barrel in an EDC-friendly diameter, the Burwell slips easily into your pocket for daily carry, but won’t bend or break, keeping your pockets ink free. With its buttery smooth clicker, the Burwell gives you one-handed operation in all situations. A machined-in dot pattern assures positive control, even in wet or slippery conditions. The metal-injection-molded (MIM) clip provides positive retention, but makes it easy to deploy from your pocket.

The Burwell uses standard Parker-style G2 refills (available at TJB.com) so you can choose from a nearly endless variety of refills. Find the nib, ink color and type that fits your needs, and make the Burwell your own.
The Burwell is available in a raw stainless finish for the purists in the group, and also in a matte black PVD finish, so you can choose your poison.

I needed a pen for my uniform shirt since our senior command wanted all officers to carry gold pens. I am pretty picky with the pens that I like to write with so I searched for days and came across this one which is technically rose gold but close enough. It actually writes very well, and the texture towards the bottom makes it very easy to hold onto. it has a bit of weight to it, which might be a turn off to some people but to me it just makes it feel more solid in my hand when I’m writing. Some of the reviews I had read online had mentioned that the ink refill was a bit loose, but I don’t find that at all. it writes very smoothly and the action of the pen is solid. If you are not fond of the Parker style refills that it comes with, you can do a bit of research and there are a few other brands that will fit as well which I like. Overall a really nice choice.

The Burwell is a sold weight pen with a good click and a nice balance. The grip is unique with reverse dots rather than a traditional knurl. The ink it comes with is good, traditional and not spectacular, but it does write well. It’s a good solid pan body what will stand the test of time.

I make my living writing things down on the flight deck of a 747. Ok, I'm a bit of a pen geek but part of that is when I need to write something down I don't have time to scribble to make the ink flow. It has to work. It also has to slide in and out of my uniform pocket effortlessly, needs to remain in that pocket without falling out, clicker has to be solid and when I hold the pen it needs to feel like quality. Space pen preceded this one, I like this far better. Enough that I have two now. One has the original G2 and the other has a Jetstream. Honestly the James G2 holds its own. I can't decide which I like better. Well done James. I have the rose gold and the silver versions and both are awesome.
