James & Carryology: The Rover Capsule

I love this EDC kit, just the right amount of tools. Well made like every other (3) pieces of James's products I own. The design and quality of the materials is what I really love. The excellent communication and touchpoints they put towards the customer is a great and trusting feeling. Just one little thing made my rating on this product a 4/5 vs 5/5. The knife is awesome but the composite material doesn't feel as solid as it does on their other products. I am certainly happy with the product and this doesn't bother me, just something I noticed. As an off-road rally competitor, these tools and products are now part of every one of my adventures and competitions.

This is my first James Brand purchase. Overall the quality is excellent except for the pen. I bought this because it was part of a collaboration between Carryology and James and I feel like I over paid. The bottle opener / scissor combo is nice but it would be better if there was a blade included. The bit driver would be great if there were more bit options (two aren't enough especially when one is a torx and the other a Phillips) and to be perfectly honest the pen is a let down. I'd be muncher happier if the pen was sturdier and screwed together inside of sticking together, I already "lost" a rubber o-ring and was lucky to find it.
